We are an agency specializing in care for children. Our referrals include childcare providers for live-out (come and go), live-in and temporary nanny positions. Our nannies care for your baby, busy toddler and/or your older child. Hiring an in-home caregiver for your family is an important decision. We are there to help before, during and after the interview process.

Line-in or Live-out Nannies

Hill Country Helpers  connects you with trained childcare providers that keep your children safe, happy and engaged on a full-time or part-time basis. Our nannies maintain the daily routine of children including implementing schedules and planning entertaining games, arts and crafts projects and outdoor activities. Our nannies can also assist with meal preparation, hygiene, laundry and light housekeeping. The focus is on your children’s individual needs and development. A live-out nanny is a great option for families who are unable to accommodate living quarters and require less assistance. There are some caregivers who prefer a scheduled work day providing in home care and then returning to their own private home at the end of the day.

These are just a few questions you may want to ask yourself. You want to be very specific as to what you are looking for in a childcare provider. Having this written beforehand will help once you start interviewing potential childcare providers.

Live-in Nanny

A live-in caregiver is exactly what it sounds like: a child care provider who lives in your home. This individual provides care for your child or children during an agreed upon set of hours. The cost is typically less than a live out nanny because customer provides for the nanny’s boarding and lodging. One of the great benefits of hiring a live-in nanny is that this option offers a great deal of flexibility for families who have young children and require assistance at different times of the day.

A live-in nanny is often happy to work a split shift, meaning she will be there for you when it matters most. A live-in nanny will often help out in the morning getting the kids off to school and will be there during the after-school rush, dinner time and even bed time. A live-in nanny makes the effort to establish bonding with the family and fully integrate with the family.

Full-time or Part-time

Clients are given a choice to decide services full time for the whole week and for the number of hours per day or night as desired. There is also a provision of part-time weekend coverage, during a certain duration of the year, business trips or trips with friends as specified in the contract. We offer services during an emergency when there is one around to fill in for you. This way you can consider your vacation and work schedule. You want to be sure your schedules are well maintained and that you are able to visit places of choice or on vacation as desired by reaching out for part-time services providers for that duration.

Our Five-Phase Interview Process

Our service is designed to meet the needs of the discerning parent. Each of our nanny candidates are reviewed using a five-step screening process created by Hill Country Helpers.

Each permanent and temporary nanny candidate:

  1. Undergoes a prescreening qualifying telephone interview
  2. Participates in an extensive interview face-to-face (when not possible, this interview is conducted over the telephone)
  3. Has each individual childcare reference checked and verified by Hill Country Helpers .
  4. Has all previous non-childcare employment and education verified by Hill Country Helpers.
  5. Is checked by a private security agency for any past criminal record, as well as for driver’s license status, driving record, and Social Security number confirmation.

Our application process is very simple. Complete the Family Profile and send to our office via online submission. Read and sign the Referral Agreement and submit to our office via fax or mail. A member of our staff will be in contact with you soon to set up a meeting.

We offer a thirty (30) day refund period and a two (2) month replacement period.
